The Estate Yountville is looking to welcome an energetic Sales Manager to our team! This unique on-site role will support the organization by selling two hotels which are situated in Yountville, CA. The Sales Manager is responsible for attainment of assigned goals tied to the overall performance of the hotel. The individual will be responsible for effectively soliciting and securing new accounts. The Sales Manager will work in conjunction with the Director of Sales to achieve the hotel’s revenue and market share goals for one or more properties.


ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively engage with luxury consortia agents throughout the year to remain top of mind for their customer’s future bookings.
  • Be knowledgeable of relevant consortia partners: Virtuoso, Fine Hotels and Resorts, Signature, Ensemble, Travel Leaders etc.
  • Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply, and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
  • Responds to and manages larger and more complex incoming opportunities for the property, such as long stay Villa bookings.
  • Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
  • Increase revenue/bookings year over year from travel agencies including individual bookings and group business.
  • Develop new agency accounts and develop new opportunities within the agencies.
  • Strong presentation skills.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Must have previous experience in luxury and leisure markets.
  • Must possess developed verbal and written communication skills to frequently negotiate convince sell and influence other managerial personnel hotel guest(s) and/or corporate clients.
  • Experience with professional selling skills required: opening probing supporting closing.
  • Must be moderately proficient in general computer knowledge especially Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks, strong organization, and presentation skills.
  • Hotel property sales experience required

Travel may be required for several nights consecutive for tradeshow and/or client face to face meetings.
