Overview:
Provides support, service, and administration to our agents for their licensing, contracts and profit sharing with Grinnell Mutual.

This position qualifies for our flexible workplace options. Work at our Grinnell, Iowa, headquarters or from a home office in any of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, South Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Please note that candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without Grinnell Mutual sponsorship.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for licensing administration. Receive, analyze and process documentation on agent appointments, state of agent, agency status changes, agency sales, cancellations, transfers and merges of agencies and mutuals.


  • Set up new general agencies with processes including preparing agency and download contracts, parsing, agent secured site set up, CoreLogic, LexisNexis Node ID, RegEd appointment, and downloads.


  • Execute business transfers and processes by working directly with the agency and the sales manager.


  • Execute buy/sell agreements and processes by working directly with the agency and the sales manager.


  • Appoint and terminate producers making decisions based on agency hierarchy using different procedures for legacy and Connect producers until all products are on ProducerEngage.


  • Troubleshoot ProducerEngage producers based on appointed as a CSR or new licensed producer. Determine course of actions when notified of issues in ProducerEngage.


  • Set up new mutuals


  • Maintain agent files


  • Maintain agent license expiration lists


  • Maintain state renewals


  • Answer phone calls and assist agents with agent/agency related inquires regarding technical and non-technical questions; follow up regarding activities with other areas as required to resolve concerns in a timely manner.


  • Enter data in the agency system (IBM) for new General Agency locations and additional producers.


  • Research and execute transfers in both IBM and Policy Center based on the producer products.


  • Incentive tracking and payouts using report dashboards


  • Work closely with sales managers to assist them with their job processes.


  • Problem solving with in-house agency questions or problems.


  • Handles documentation and recording on book transfers


  • Assist other departments as needed with agency, producer and vendor questions

  • No Fiscal or Decision-Making Authority Responsibility.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must possess intermediate word processing and electronic spreadsheet skills.

  • Must possess basic skills in word processing.

  • Must possess a good working knowledge of basic computer terminology, computer networks, personal computers and associated programs and applications.

  • Must possess a working knowledge of office automation applications.

  • Must possess effective communication skills, including verbal, written and listening.

  • Ability to manage multiple and/or conflicting priorities.

  • Limited overnight travel is required.

  • Must exhibit self-assurance.

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and propriety of information.

  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to all Grinnell Mutual policies.
