Summary
The Advisor, Marketing Technology Product Owner drives the optimization of Save the Children’s digital marketing technology (MarTech) product suite – mainly oriented around Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and Customer Data Platform (CDP) – and ensures it is well positioned to deliver an integrated personalized supporter experience across digital marketing channels.
As a member of the Digital Marketing team, you are a key liaison between the marketing and technology teams, and partner closely with your technology counterpart in advancing the organization’s digital marketing technology capabilities. You engage your digital marketing colleagues (primary MarTech product users) and marketing stakeholders on their business requirements, and develop solutions in partnership with the technology team, MarTech product integrators, and MarTech product vendors.
You develop a strong understanding of the organization’s MarTech products and their role within the MarTech eco-system in delivering an integrated supporter experience. You inform and educate the marketing stakeholders on the MarTech product suite’s capabilities and drive adoption.


What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)
MarTech Product Strategy (50%)
  • Engage MarTech product vendors, technology integrators, and digital agencies in developing a strong understanding of product capabilities, industry trends and best practices.
  • Develop deep knowledge of the organization's MarTech products eco-system, their integrations and co-dependencies.
  • Identify MarTech product gaps and partner with the technology team in researching product options, capabilities and costs.
  • Drive alignment on MarTech product development roadmap with marketing stakeholders and technology team.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively on MarTech product strategy with internal stakeholders and senior management.
MarTech Product Development and Implementation (50%)
  • Collaborate with internal marketing stakeholders, digital marketing teammates, and technology team in:
o Translating business requirements into feature and user stories
o Defining product development scopes
o Prioritizing projects
  • Partner with your technology counterpart in project execution and represent the (digital) marketing team as their first point of contact.
  • Provide mid-level technical support on MarTech products in collaboration with digital marketing teammates, technology counterparts, marketing vendors and MarTech product support specialists.
  • Document best practices and technical solutions to better disseminate knowledge across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle, and re-prioritize as business needs change.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and project team partners in a timely, transparent and comprehensive manner.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and at least 3 other MarTech product technologies, including at least 1 other product listed:
o Customer data platform (Salesforce)
o CMS (Adobe, Drupal),
o Online advocacy and campaign tools (EveryAction, NGP/VAN),
o eCommerce (Luminate),
o Web analytics (Adobe and Google),
o Personalization - A/B testing tools (Adobe Target, Salesforce Interaction Studio)
  • Demonstrated understanding of MarTech product integrations
  • Professional proficiency with data management and data analytics
  • Demonstrated project management skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask
  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering and maintaining and environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.


Compensation

Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position, dependent on candidate location:

  • Geo 1- NY Metro, DC, and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Target Salary for this position is $84,150 – $94,050 base salary
  • Geo 2-Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $76,500 – $85,500 base salary
  • Geo 3-Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $68,850 – $76,950 base salary

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location. Employee may be eligible for an incentive program. Save the Children also offers paid vacation, accrued at least 12 days a year, depending on paygrade and length of service, paid safety and wellness leave of at least 1 day per month worked for a full time employee which is pro rata reduced for employees working less than a full time schedule, and at least 10 paid holidays a year. Employees may be eligible for additional bonus compensation.
