Lumber Stacker & Mill General Laborer

Job Summary:

HHP, Inc. is looking for a 1st Shift Lumber Stacker & Mill General Laborer to help support our Henniker, New Hampshire Sawmill Operation.

*Open to training the right candidate, interested in the forestry industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

HHP is looking for a 1st Shift Lumber Stacker & General Laborer. Dependability is a must, we are looking for an individual to meet & exceed HHP’s company standards, and values. Someone who is interested in growing with the company, long term. Learning different areas of the mill to gain experience on machinery and mill process & production. Keeping a keen eye on quality control.

Stack Lumber following specific criteria:

Pile the boards with the following criteria: • Top, bottom and outside boards will be the longest • All edges will be free of knots, wane, writing and other defects • Bundle must be square • Build each bundle until full and finish off with a nice top layer • Push out finished bundle for forklift to remove • Make sure tags are on finished packs of lumber • Strapping packs/bundles of lumber with a strapping device • Maintain good working relationships with all employees and management.

Job Requirements:

• Pre-employment physical.
• The ideal candidate will have:
• Strong work ethic and good communication skills.
• Familiarity operating machinery in a production process.
• Possess mechanical aptitude.
• Reliable Transportation is a must.
