I purchase food to be consumed by myself and 8 other crew members over the course of 3-4 week voyage, using a budget given to me by the company (i.e. company money). I would describe my relation to this food as:

a) It is my responsibility to make sure the very best of this food makes it into the mouths of my favorites and myself.

b) It is my responsibility to make sure people feel uncomfortable while eating this food.

c) It is my responsibility to cook and prepare this food to the best of my ability.

d) I paid for this food out of my own pocket, and you are lucky to get any of it. I'm a big shot.

e) I get to throw this food at people who do not find it in their heart to do nasty things to me on occasion. I'm a big shot.

f) My hard work pays the wages of everyone on the boat. Recognize.

g) It is my responsibility to get upset when someone does not utterly love my cooking.

h) It is my responsibility to take offense when someone does not feel up to engaging in enthralling dialogue, or listening to my intense lengthy monologue, at 0530 in the morning.

i) It is other crewmembers' responsibility to entertain me. As if they didn't know the whole boat revolves around me. I'm a big shot.

j) It is other crewmembers'responsibility to keep me company when I am bored.
