A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SEASONAL DOCK ATTENDANT

As a Dock Attendant, you provide outstanding, friendly customer service to all port patrons and employees. With an eye for detail, you maintain the cleanliness and safety of the marina by picking up trash. You enjoy the fresh air and the opportunity to get some exercise as you walk 5-10 miles each day while keeping the marina tidy and catching boat lines to dock and secure vessels. In an effort to maintain current information regarding the status of all guest moorage, you conduct dock checks. As needed, you assist at the fuel dock. You enjoy the variety in your job and love being able to work outside and get tons of steps in!


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 17 years old or older
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work a full-time set schedule that includes weekends and holidays throughout the summer
  • Capability to lift, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, crouch, kneel, twist, stoop, reach, bend, pivot, and climb
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver's license
  • Ability to read and speak English

WORK SCHEDULE

Dock Attendants work five shifts each week from 8 am to 5 pm OR from 9 am to 6 pm.


SEASONAL STAFF BONUS PROGRAM

Seasonal employees that work 440+ hours in the peak season (April-October) will be eligible for a $1,000 end-of-season bonus paid on their last paycheck, a $2,500 tuition stipend paid directly to an accredited college, university, academy, or trade school, or a $3,000 tuition stipend for a maritime-related program paid directly to an accredited college, university, academy, or trade school.
