Secure Juvenile Protection Professionals

Adelphoi, local non-profit agency with more than 50 years of youth service experience, seeks capable and dedicated members to build a secure juvenile center team. These positions will work closely with law enforcement, juvenile court, and probation professionals, to provide a safe and secure setting for youth who need immediate attention.

We initially seek candidates who have the leadership qualities to be Unit Directors and Shift Supervisors. These roles will serve as the core of this venture with the opportunity to learn and grow together.

What will you be asked to do?

  • As a Unit Director you will have the responsibility to manage a team that will implement the program for a group of youth in the secure facility. Your duties will include ensuring that the overall safety and security of all youth are coordinated with all stakeholders of the process

  • As a Shift Supervisor you will have the responsibility to provide immediate supervision to all team members on your assigned shift. Your ability to directly support the hour-by-hour management of youth will be essential.

  • Receive intensive training at our model facility to fully understand the roles and expectations of the secure setting, how to manage youth behaviors, and establish the relationships and boundaries necessary to have a safe and secure setting.


What will qualify you for these opportunities?

  • The ability to demonstrate clear 1:1 communication, establish rapport with youth, and follow a strict routine that maximizes the stability of the living environment.

  • A level of fitness that permits assisting with the physical care and safety of individuals and groups for the benefit of all program members.

  • A minimum level of study that indicates the capacity to understand and apply regulations as they pertain to the secure setting. Minimum of 60 college credits preferred.
