SECURITY OFFICER(ARMED) Job at VETS SECURING AMERICA
VETS SECURING AMERICA-We are looking for experienced Security Officers to undertake the surveillance of State facility premises and protection of staff and visitors. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior, and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The goal is to maintain order and peace within the facility.
ARMED SECURITY OFFICER NEEDED!! (Baton, Handcuffs, O/C Spray permits Required)

MONDAY-FRIDAY(EXCLUDING STATE HOILDAY'S)
SATURDAY&SUNDAYS
PAY: $17.50
BENEFITS, WEEKLY PAY,& UNIFORMS PROVIDED
Responsibilities:
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
- Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property
- Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
- Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations
- Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
- Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
- Provide assistance to people in need
- Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
Skills:
- Proven experience as security officer or guard (REQUIRED)
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
- Familiarity with report writing
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills
- Up to date permits and certifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensed through St. Louis County (Armed License)
- Must provide own firearm
- Valid Driver's licensed
- Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
- HAVE AN ACTIVE GUARD CARD, BATON, HANDCUFFS AND O/C SPRAY PERMITS
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and / or console monitors
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures / protocols
- Must have RELIABLE Transportation to and from work post
