SECURITY OFFICER
Knoebels is America's largest free-admission amusement park and offers free parking, entertainment and picnic facilities in Elysburg, PA. We are family-owned, 4th generation driven to exceed our customers' expectations by providing exceptional service and progressing continuously.
We are currently seeking a team member to fill one of our security officer position to maintain safety in the Park.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer questions or direct guests or staff team members to the appropriate resource
- Handle guest or staff team member complaints or call a supervisor
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters
- Patrol Park on foot and man security posts, transfer valuable assets and assist with traffic management
- Ability to operate a golf cart, to transport guests and property when requested
- Search for and reunite lost persons
- Ensure items found are properly secured and delivered to applicable Lost & Found location
- Observe that guests are following the proper attire policy
- Apply the applicable facility rules in a polite and professional manner
- Assist in emergency situations and crowd control
- Monitor lighting and facility access areas to ensure conditions are appropriate and report concerns
- Address disorderly guests and work to defuse the situation or manage it until an appropriate supervisor arrives
- Write incident reports and record witness statements, accurately and in a timely manner
- Possess good verbal skills to clearly communicate with the Comm Center, and/or other team members via radio
- Verify valid ID for persons wishing to purchase age restricted items
Requirements:
- Passion for People!
- Age 18 or older
- Current valid driver’s license and provide personal transportation (vehicle)
- Be available evenings and weekends
- Work alone at times or work with a group of security officers
- Ability to always remain calm and act in a reasonable manner to manager various situations
- Exceptional communication skills while relating to people in a friendly, professional manner
- Self-motivated; acts without needing direction from others
- Perform cleaning duties as needed to maintain a clean, safe work environment
Physical Demands:
- Working in an indoor or outdoor environment in all types of weather
- Lifting and transferring equipment/supplies as needed
- Ability to move throughout the Resort as needed
