Then consider joining the Oklahoma Senate Records & Information Division. In this role, you will be a part of non-partisan staff to assist the Majority Floor Leader team in the development of the daily Senate agenda, management of the Senate Chamber voting machine, and finetuning the annual Senate Journal subject index to assist in future research of past legislative actions. The right person will be detail-oriented, organized, have strong spreadsheet management skills, is a quick learner and will enjoy working with legislative staff to insure the accurate and timely execution of Senate floor activities.

Responsibilities of the Agenda and Subject Index Clerk includes:
- Check daily reports for legislation on General Order and ready to be heard on the Senate floor.
- Manage requests from multiple sources for legislation to be heard.
- Meet with the Majority Floor Leader team to finalize daily floor agendas.
- Act as primary operator of the Senate Chamber Voting system.
- Revise subject matter headings and cross-references for future subject matter index to be printed in the permanent Senate Journal.
- Other tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basis:
Experience, knowledge and skills we are seeking:
- Knowledge of the legislative process and terminology;
- A willingness to learn new skills and find ways to continually improve;
- A team player who is not afraid of hard work and the ability to work under pressure of deadlines who is able to work flexible, sometimes long hours during the legislative session; and
- At least four years’ experience performing a variety of complex clerical duties or an equivalent combination of education, experience, technical training related to computers or legislative work.
