Fahrenheit Advisors has been retained to assist our client, SPRINTURF, in their search for a Senior Accountant to work from their Charleston, SC office. Work for a fast-growing company in a unique and interesting industry.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include: driving improvement and changes to the business; processing monthly and year-end closings; producing financial statements; recommending business process improvements based on reviewed performance; bank reconciliations; general ledger entries, job costing, account reconciliations; supporting general accounting duties for the manufacturer, sports and landscape division; compiling reports (as required by management); analysis of the financials; driving increased information flow with real time reporting implementation; and working closely with all levels of management, employees, customers, external auditors, and vendors.
Essential Duties:
- Creating checks and balances for operational and data integrity
- Managing project costing and identifying any potential cost overruns
- Managing the construction divisions' accounting and reviewing performance monthly and as needed.
- Reviewing and booking payroll for weekly and monthly payrolls
- Managing cash flow and holding employees responsible to budgets
- Compiling a detailed, payables list on a weekly basis for review and approval
- Preparing and reconciling journal entries, account reconciliations and accruals monthly
- Receivable processing and follow up
- Participating in the development of financial strategies as part of the Accounting Team
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Accounting Required.
- 5+ years of experience preferred
- Construction Accrual accounting background preferred
- CPA certification preferred
- NetSuite experience a plus
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be able to work strategically, and collaboratively across departments
- Must be effective, versatile and action-oriented and have exceptional communication skills
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
