Working with senior development and DevOps, you will help build and maintain STN’s video platform. You will be working on key components of our proprietary video delivery, management and intelligence systems. STN is looking for a highly motivated, curious and skilled JavaScript and PHP developer to join our product development team. Working with senior development and DevOps, you will help build and maintain STN’s video platform. You will be working on key components of our proprietary video delivery, management and intelligence systems. These systems include STN’s video player, advertising technology (with built in support for SpotX, Google Ad Manager, Google IMA, AdX and others), artificial intelligence that matches video content to publisher articles, and STN’s end-to-end (from encoding to delivery) video management system.
WHO YOU ARE
The successful candidate will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in object-oriented server-side programming environments such as PHP, Python, or Java
- 3+ years or relevant ad tech experience including: ad serving technology, RTB, prebid.js, GAM, GPT
- Experience building out complex header bidding solutions for publishers
- Proven understanding of how to leverage header bidding to optimize page monetization
- Experience troubleshooting Ad Serving issues
- Demonstrable experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL
- Familiarity with Model View Controller frameworks
- Experience with the Laravel web application framework is a plus
- Experienced with source code management systems
- Proven experience with PRebid.org or similar RTB frameworks
- Comfortable and proficient working in Amazon Web Services
- Experience with video player technology (i.e. JWPlayer, VideoJS, FlowPlayer) a plus.
- Knowledge of popular Content Management Systems (WordPress,.) a plus
- Participate in the code development, code review, product testing and product release process
- Analyze functional requirements to design and develop innovative solutions to meet client and internal stakeholder needs
- Understanding the programmatic advertising industry, including Header Bidding, OpenRTB protocol, IAB standards, view-ability and fraud prevention
- Test and collaborate with the team on new ad product solutions and manage new ad technology platform integration and migrations
- Participate as a full-time member of an Agile development team
- Provide accurate estimates and status updates for assigned tasks
- Document code changes in a clear and concise manner
