General Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst provides the primary analytical support for the external finance team in its capacity to manage the capital structure of the ongoing business and raise/refinance equity/debt for future growth.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Provides detailed financial modeling, including company operating models and capital structure, and ad-hoc analyses.
• Carries out financial analysis at multiple complexity levels including discounted cash flow analysis, NPV, IRR, budgeting, cost analysis and performance tracking.
• Provides concise, accurate, accountable, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders, including c-suite level. Makes data-driven recommendations that may heavily influence decisions.
• Maintains and refines logically structured financial models; uses best practices for data handling and model creation/evolution.
• Takes ownership of analysis requirements, including setting deadlines, collecting, and analyzing the right data, and effectively communicating key insights.
• Performs transactional support and pro-forma analyses as needed.
• Provide strong business partnering and financial leadership to the supported departments; understand the business issues facing the organization and provide financial alternatives.
• Evaluates the adequacy of existing procedures, identifies weaknesses, and implements improvements.
• Works on regularly scheduled days as well as unscheduled days and/or beyond regular work hours due to customer or operational demands, as needed.
• Adheres to all Company standard procedures, policies and safety practices in the course of performing work activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or job-related discipline; master’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years financial analysis in telecommunications, investment banking, private equity, or equivalent corporate/banking finance experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting and its application.
• Advanced financial modeling skills and deep understanding of Excel.
• Excellent presentation creation/editing skills (strong PowerPoint skills essential).
• Comprehensive writing skills and ability to distill verbal and high-level information into logically organized, highly detailed written memos.
• Proven ability to take ownership of projects, work independently to resolve issues and see them to completion.
• Ability to multi-task, including handling the demands of multiple projects concurrently.
• Demonstrable “customer service” experience while providing assistance to company management, lenders, and investors.
• Communicates effectively, both orally and written, with all levels of employees, management, shareholders, lenders, and other financial partners.
• Self-directed, decisive, high integrity and detail oriented.
• Desire to work in a small, unstructured environment and join a growing company.
• Team oriented, high intelligence, desire to learn and be in the financial analysis field.
• Ability to perform research and have a natural curiosity for how things “work” coupled with strong attention to detail.

Working Conditions

• Employee remains in the sitting position for prolonged hours. Employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
