CURRENT NEED
We are currently looking for a Sr. Business Analyst, Supply Chain OTC/P2P in our Irving, TX office.
This is a critical role for the MMS business unit with pricing & WMS for the JD Edwards application. This role will be a key partner for the business stakeholders in managing business expectations, and service levels, and a key liaison with the business around portfolio priorities. The role will also be a key partner for working collaboratively with IT Architects, Developers, Quality Assurance, and Service Provider Outside workers. In addition, the role is responsible for partnering with the Supply Chain Planning Applications, EDI and WMS teams, Project Manager / Scrum Masters, and IT & business teams on road mapping, business requirements elicitation, and solution design. Position Description
- Core member of MMS Supply Chain OTC/P2P applications team responsible for delivery of new functionality to support the end-to-end SCP business process
- In partnership with other team members oversees the design, development, and test (QA) functionality that address business functional requirements.
- Confirms assumptions and the recommended approach with Architects, Other Business SMEs, and Solution Managers.
- Partners with other team members and McKesson IT stakeholders to ensure successful deployment and early life support of service changes.
- Advise the business/stakeholders and help define optimal solutions for the MMS business areas specific to Pricing and WMS functional areas.
- Responsible to lead key design activities, milestones, and leading consensus discussions/alignment with MMS stakeholders, Scrum Masters, and Business Engagement Partners.
- Advise the business/engagement partner and help define optimal solutions for the MMS JD Edwards business functionality
- Collaborate well with multiple teams across business units and MT teams to define, design, test and execute solutions that meet business and technical service requirements
- Partner with Architecture and Solution teams to develop technical service roadmaps, incorporating both current and future capabilities.
- Drive internal process maturity
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system design weaknesses, drives business process re-engineering efforts with key business partners and other McKesson Technology solution teams
- Responsible for scope-related decisions and draws conclusions related to design needs and decisions throughout Agile PI phases
- Conducts projects requiring specialized knowledge of IT development while contributing to the evolving business requirements.
- Prepares communications and makes presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives.
- Works on unusually complex problems and provides solutions that are highly creative.
- Evaluates and selects from existing and emerging technologies to determine solutions.
- Assist leadership in building out systems, architectures, and platforms.
- Participates in the collaborative system and data design sessions with the user community, technical architecture resources, and development resources.
- Completes project activities on time and within budget, and proactively identifies and communicates issues that may jeopardize milestones or project budget to the Project Manager.
- Guides and advises less-experienced Analysts, support other Business Analysts and Architects, on a project, and ensures the project is completing their deliverables of high quality and on time.
- Conducts interviews, fact-finding, and independent research to design creative, progressive IT solutions for business problems.
- Serve as the principal resource to gather system requirements on IT development initiatives and projects for the Supply Chain Applications
- Evaluates new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.
- Conduct gap analysis, participate in solutions discussions, support QA, Performance & UAT testing, and engage with stakeholders to determine technology/system needs.
- Ensures end-to-end traceability of requirements is complete. Competent to work at the highest technical capacity on most phases of the business systems analysis.
- Contributes to the review of Test Planning and Test Execution strategies. Oversees the development of data models and interface design specifications
- Documents, tracks, and resolves issues related to data quality. Contributes to the design and mapping of data conversion strategies.
Minimum Requirements. Typically has 10+ years of relevant experience
Critical Skills
- 5+ years’ experience Requirement Analysis, Business Analysis and Design / Configuring JD Edwards
• 3+ years’ experience in User training support, Test Planning / Execution and Risk / Issue Management • 1+ years’ experience in automation / business analysis tools
- Strong understanding of the supply chain business process
- Experience with SDLC and working with development team through the process
- Experience with custom application delivery in an Agile framework
Additional knowledge & Skills:
- Experience or knowledge or working experience with EDI
- Experience in managing Sox controls and addressing audit questions is a big plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; timely communication with clear expectations. An active listener and clear communicator; can lead by influence
- Ability to find creative solutions to complex problems
- Highly adept at working collaboratively across multiple business and technical functions to achieve results
Education
- 4-year bachelor’s degree in computer science / Engineering or computer related degree
