Summary

The Senior Business Travel Sales Manager (Hotel Swexan) to manage two Transient Focused Buyers; Corporate Negotiated and Leisure Agencies. The Corporate Negotiated includes Global, National Accounts as well as Local. The Leisure Agency side covers Consortia and TMC’s.

Job Functions

  • Achieve Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Revenue and Direct Sales Goals including Outside Sales Calls, Prospecting Calls, Site Inspections, and Entertainment as outlined
  • Submits RFP’s, with DOSM alignment re: rate, for all Global and National (if applicable) Accounts.
  • Is the Point-of-Contact for all Local Corporate Accounts
  • Works within Harwood Hospitality Resources to Garner additional Leads and Cross-Promotional Opportunities
  • Sets Goals per Account and Creates an Action Plan for Key Accounts
  • Works closely with LHW’s Sales Team Members managing Global Hotel Accounts
  • Identifies, Develops and Solicits new Retail Travel Agents, Consortiums, Entertainment and possibly Wholesalers.
  • Works with DOSM on inclusion for Virtuoso, Amex FHR/Hotel Collection, Signature, etc.
  • With DOSM, Creates Offers and Promotions and ensures they are distributed within all networks, i.e., LHW, TMC’s, Consortia’s like Virtuoso, etc.
  • Ability to Evaluate Potential Business Opportunities, Qualify Potential Accounts, Complete Bid Process, Complete all Portions of the RFP Process, Negotiate Rates and Contract Volume Sales Agreements
  • Leads the TMC Strategy setting Corporate and Leisure Goals per TMC. Emphasis on American Express, CWT, Internova
  • Research and Develop New Leads for Property Business to support a new-build hotel.
  • Provide Weekly and Monthly Reports of Sales Calls and Actions as Requested by Director of Sales and Marketing, as well as other assigned projects.
  • Travels to meet with Customers and Prospective Customers to Educate on Product and Experiences that includes but is not limited to Sales Calls, Tradeshows, and Industry and Community Events.
  • Meets, Welcomes, and Entertains Customers and Conducts Property Tours in a Hospitable and Professional Manner Reflective of a Five-Star Service Environment.
  • Share and Educate Team on Travel Industry Accounts and Partnerships.
  • Negotiate, Draft, and Generate Proposals, Contracts and Addendums that Ensure both Budget and Revenue Targets are achieved.
  • Assists DOSM in the Development of New Programs and Sales Campaigns to Obtain Additional Sales from the Various Market Niches.
  • All Communications and Tasks should be Completed to the Highest Level of Detail and Professionalism, including Luxury Language with Polished Written and Verbal Communications.
  • Coordinate Amenities, Client Gift, Pre-Arrival and Courtesy Services for on Property Guests, as assigned.
  • Create Positive Relationships with Other Departments to Ensure Success of all Guests and Leisure Customers.
  • Remain Flexible in a Demanding, Sales Focused Environment.
  • Welcome new Tasks, Trainings and Responsibilities as Assigned.
  • Be a Positive Contributor to the Daily Team Environment and Success of the Sales Team and Hotels Financial Objectives.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service and Telephone Etiquette.
  • Participate in Daily/Weekly Sales Meetings, Revenue Management Meetings and Training as required.
  • Develop and Maintain Knowledge of Market Trends, Competition, and Customers

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Sales & Catering System Software, i.e., Delphi or like
  • Hotel PMS, i.e., Opera or the like
  • Microsoft Office; Word, Powerpoint, Excel
  • Ability to Analyze Agency 360 and Rate 360, in return make Conclusions/Recommendations
  • for RN and ADR success.
  • Ability to Analyze Data and Develop Action Plans
  • Ability to Build Data Spreadsheets re: Accounts and Trends
  • Able to Travel and Represent Hotel Swexan as Requested
  • Able to Work Nights, Weekend and Holidays When Business Needs Dictate.

Required Qualifications:

  • Two (2) to (4) Years in similar role or Corporate Negotiated Sales managerial position in a Luxury Brand, Luxury Independent Hotel or Full-Service Hotel.
