Overall Responsibility:
Supervises the activities and personnel at the Carbon Senior Center and Site Manager at the East Carbon Center. Promotes new and existing senior programs.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Directs the activities of the staff assigned. This includes day to day assignments, performance evaluation and scheduling vacations, etc.
- Is responsible for accounting performed under his/her supervision and prepares and presents Departmental budget.
- Participates in Center Activities and is able to perform the function of any employee on an emergency replacement basis. Is thoroughly familiar with all job descriptions.
- Responsible for the proper handling and receipt of monies received at the Center.
- Designs programs and activities.
- Responsible for payroll of employees of the center.
Skills and Attributes:
- Ability to budget his/her time and the time of others for efficient allocation of labor and resources.
- Ability to conduct meetings.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and written.
- Good public relation skills.
- Ability to interpret laws and regulations relating to his/her department.
- Ability to operate any computer system
Experience Requirement:
One year experience working with Seniors preferred as is some previous administrative experience.
Physical Effort/Environment:
Primarily works indoors in an office environment but may be required to substitute for any position in the Centers.
This is a part-time, non-benefitted position. Approximately 20 hours per week.
