Position Narrative (Overview)
SageSure is looking for a Senior Claims Analyst who will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our service and profitability through the discovery, development, and implementation of analytics that answer important business questions related to claims indemnity, performance, and operations. This Analyst will collaborate with business partners and executive leadership for the purpose of delivering robust reporting and analytics capabilities to drive improved business performance in the claims space.
What you will be doing:
  • Understand claims issues and processes, then translate these into data and analytics solutions that are actionable and measurable
  • Work closely with Claims leaders to create and execute on an operational data and analytics plan that enables Claims to achieve strategic priorities
  • Perform analysis to detect patterns, trends, and relationships across claims and policy data
  • Update and develop new logic for transformation and aggregation tasks for datasets from multiple sources
  • Conduct necessary data analysis to support issue resolution and implement fixes

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of property claims handling and comprehension of claims best practices. Experience with homeowner's claims strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical role, with a strong preference for claims analytics
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in data assimilation and transforming gathered data into meaningful insight for internal or external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and tell a story using data visualization techniques
  • Excellent organizational skills for handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Expert level proficiency in SQL, relational databases and building decision support models
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as DOMO, Tableau, or MS BI
  • Presence and credibility to present effectively to senior management
