JOB SUMMARY:

As a Senior Data Governance Analyst in the Samba Safety, Enterprise Data Team, you are responsible for establishing data governance policies, processes, and standards that are in line with organizational priorities and working with Data Stewards and Architects in the business to enforce and ensure data is used and maintained properly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with data governance council, product, sales, operations and analytics teams to provide oversight and uncover ongoing data governance opportunities
• Design data governance framework and processes to make it easy to find, access and understand data and solve for data quality issues
• Creates, documents, maintains and oversees Data governance processes and data catalog- partner with business stewards to define the data standards, certify data assets and maintain the data assets, business Glossary and asset relationships in a data governance tool.
• Instill confidence and consistency in the quality of data
• Develop data dashboards to monitor data quality, data lineage and performance, and identify/resolve issues
• Identify and setup data catalog and data dictionary tools and evolve the capability over time
• Work with vendors to identify and test data governance tools to automate data governance with time

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or relevant work experience
• 5+ years working in data-related roles, 2+ years involved in company(s) data governance efforts
• Experience in data analysis, data profiling, data transformation, and data reconciliation techniques.
• Developed data policies, data dictionaries and data lineage documentation
• Experience in identifying and remediating issues in data flows, data quality and report mapping
• Developed and Implemented Data Quality controls/rules, dimensions & criteria
• Experience with data governance tool like Atlan, Datahub, Collibra is preferred
• Knowledge of data structures such as columnar, unstructured data, data lakes, APIs, data virtualization, data warehousing, data visualization and analytical models

SALARY RANGE: $100,000- $115,000
