Senior Electrical/Avionics Engineer

We're seeking a Senior Electrical/Avionics Engineer that is invigorated and inspired by challenge, with the desire to make an impact. The Senior Electrical/Avionics Engineer will bring their education and experience in Electrical Avionics/Aerospace Engineering to reach new heights and develop new skills while working on a variety of projects and programs. The role will involve avionics integration, electrical, & electronic design integration, and installation design for the aircraft's electrical components and systems. The Sr. Electrical/Avionics Engineer will coordinate efforts on electrical design projects, vendor projects, certification programs, and production.

  • POSITION: Fulltime, Contract-to-Direct, *On-site*
  • SCHEDULE: 1st Shift with Flexibility, 40 Hours/Week

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Avionics and electrical installation and integration
  • Coordinate and integrate installations according to the Customer Sales Build Order
  • Generate Type Design information including electrical/avionics materials and technical manuals
  • Facilitate product changes and correct design issues via E.O.'s and drawing revisions per vendors, Production, Test, or Production Liaisons
  • Design helicopter components, systems, and subsystems
  • Electrical design and electro-mechanical design and installation of the components and systems
  • Create and coordinate review of drawings with electrical draftsman
  • Research and incorporate Drawing Change Requests (DCR's)
  • Research and investigate electrically-related production, purchased items, or field service issues to incorporate design changes, develop solutions, and determine impact
  • FAA submittals of Electrical Load Analyses, Functional Hazard Assessments, and System Safety Assessments
  • Prepare customer-specific optional schematics and Electrical Load Analyses for aircrafts
  • Ensure FAA compliance and proper release in all activities
  • Support vendor projects, various certification programs, and production
  • Work with various Engineering departments and report to the Design Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering
  • Understanding of general aviation avionics, rotorcraft, or general aircraft systems
  • Knowledge of FAA rules, regulations, and certification processes
  • FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) is desirable
  • Electrical analysis and troubleshooting experience
  • CAD and SolidWorks experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability multi-task with project management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
