OBJECTIVE SUMMARY: Performs a broad range of administrative activities, support functions, and special projects for the CEO and other executives as needed. Provides leadership and coordination for administrative staff within the Executive Office; ensures administrative activities are carried out in a timely, effective, and professional manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Exercises independent judgment in managing assigned work activities to ensure objectives are met. Oversees special projects, working independently from conception through completion.
  • Prepares an assortment of materials for various audiences, including sensitive and confidential information, professional correspondence and presentation materials for the Board of Commissioners and Executive Team.
  • Plans, coordinates and ensures the CEO's schedule is followed and respected. Effectively performs as both "gatekeeper" and "gateway", creating win-win situations for direct access to the Executive team’s time and offices.
  • Researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the CEO and other Executives, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Determines appropriate course of action, referral, or response.
  • Communicates directly, and on behalf of the CEO, on matters related to CEO's initiatives. Provides effective communication; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust and support between the Executive Team and staff.
  • Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
  • Collaborates with administrative staff supporting the Executive Team to ensure administrative support activities are completed in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. Provides training and mentoring; refers performance or conduct issues to the appropriate leader for follow-up, as needed.
  • Performs special projects and other related duties as assigned.

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above, all employees are expected to support the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital mission, vision and values; comply with SVH policies and procedures; and conduct themselves in an ethical, professional, respectful, and collaborative manner at all times.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare management, or related field.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of administrative experience, including a minimum of 2 years supporting C-level

executive(s).

  • Experience managing complex schedules and travel arrangements and coordinating meetings and events.
  • Ideal applicant will have experience in a public hospital setting.

  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including Executive level staff and Commissioners.
  • Expert level written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with a wide variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability and emotional maturity.
  • Ability to enjoy a fun and professional office environment.
  • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also work effectively in an independent capacity.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/patient service.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.
  • Experience applying and explaining complex information.
  • Intermediate to advanced technical skills, including MS Office products, and ability to learn and apply new technology and software.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: General office.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to sit for long periods. Lifting up to 10 pounds.

Eligibility Requirements - Employees regularly scheduled at least 20 hours per week.

Employee Dependents - Your legal spouse or domestic partner, Dependent children until age 26.

Waiting Period - 1st of the month following 30 days from your date of hire.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,450.00 - $87,000.00 per year
