Position: Senior Field Service Mechanic

Job Purpose:

As our Senior Field Service Mechanic Representative, you will contribute to mechanical service maintenance and mechanical project installations to meet demands in sales and customer requests of maintenance while ensuring that our global brand is maintained and we surpass our customer expectations at all times. You will assist as a lead of project installations on customers sites working along side installation team.

Job Responsibilities & Duties:

 Diagnose and repair equipment
 Perform preventative maintenance on customer equipment
 Mechanical assembly of equipment/products using such items as fasteners, nuts, rivets, hand tools, etc.

 Complete mechanical rebuilds and component replacements
 Review of equipment prior to shipping to customer. Identifying possible issues, ensuring all items are assembled and manufactured accurately to provide a smooth operation for the customer.

 Review drawing of facility and equipment needed with the installation manager before start of a project installation.

 Receive equipment onsite and review that equipment is in proper condition, all accounted for before installation process begins.

 Complete equipment installation timely and efficiently meeting specifications of the project sale as well as meeting installation completion deadlines.

 Constant communication with customer & supervisor of work in progress
 Thoroughly complete proper documentation of work orders recording work completed; equipment issues, diagnosis, solution, and record of time.

 Work collaboratively with departments within the company to improve processes, build, and delivery of product to our customers.

 Read and understand job orders in order to complete jobs fully and correctly.
 Ensure proper use of company tools and equipment to prevent premature deterioration.
 Follow and comply with processes and procedures while working alone or with others.
 Comply with all MAF safety procedures and perform tasks properly to minimize potential harm to yourself or others.

 Verify all safety guarding is in place an operational, document all discrepancies.
 Assist in customer training for operation and maintenance of specific equipment and installations.
 Ensure working environment is clean and safe, following safety procedures.
 Become an expert in MAF’s systems and equipment.
 Performs related duties as assigned by supervision.

Required Experience

 3+ years’ experience in general industrial; power transmission/material handling equipment
 Relevant industry experience in a related field.
 Excellent external and internal customer service skills
 Ability to read and interpret blue prints, schematics, and interpret technical procedures.
 Ability to effectively communicate information both written and verbal, and respond to questions from management, customers, and fellow co‐workers.

 Ability to work under pressure and short deadlines
 Ability to present solutions to practical problems.

Physical Requirements

 Lifting up to 50 lbs.
 Ability to work in food processing plants, farms, cold storage facilities, and outside in high/low temperatures.

 Able to perform frequent bending, kneeling and standing, and work in confined spaces.

 No major food allergies that would impede on the job requirements

Travel and driving

• Valid Driver license, clean MVR and capable of getting a passport with access to Canada
• Clean Driving Record and ability to drive without restrictions
• Ability to drive for long distances
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport.
• Must be able to travel to and within Canada.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules'
• Travel expectation of 90% (overnight and weekend travels)

Pay: From $26.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift

COVID-19 considerations:
All customers and personal on sites are required to wear masks. Sanitation of commonly touched places to be sanitized throughout the day. PPE distributed to all personal (Company face masks), face shields upon request, gloves upon request, sanitizer.
