This is a direct hire role.

In the Senior Accountant role, you will have the opportunity to assist with the day-to-day accounting for Capital Finance. This position is essential to ensuring the highest level of financial reporting accuracy through maintenance of internal processes and adherence to GAAP. Essential Duties:

• Oversee balance sheet and income statement GL accounts and the different supporting schedules
• Handle balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
• Support the accurate and timely closing of ledgers on a monthly basis
• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of detailed spreadsheets to support various journal entries
• Assist in annual audit with external auditor
• Assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of internal controls
• Appropriately track and maintain client-related expenses and rebilling to clients
• Recommend improvements, adaptations, or revisions in the accounting system and procedures
• Contribute to team performance through ad hoc assignments as bandwidth and ability allow

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
• At least 3 years of prior public accounting or banking/financial services accounting experience.

Role: Sr. Accountant, Capital Finance

Location: Local to KC, hybrid

Salary: $70 -90k , 10% bonus , equity

Role:

• Transactions, planning and forecasting for Capital Finance
• With their own GL and intercompany, all accruals, revenue, income statement, balance sheet, financial reporting as stand alone, also help with the roll up to corporate.
• Month end close with 4 different entities

Experience :

• Public Accounting Experience (Big Four accounting firms preferred)

Regional Firms

• 2 years- They will be doing a lot of detailed work
• Sweet Spot:

After 2 years they pass the CPA Exam and are promoted to "Senior" which means more client facing and higher level decisions

2-4 years Titles:

• SeniorAccountant
• Financial Reporting
• Financial Planning Accountant
• Audit and Risk Management

Must understand:

• Banking knowledge and working capital
• Accounting Degree but doesn't have to have CPA
• No Bookkeeping
• No Cash Base accounting
• No Tax accounting

Must haves:

• GAAP Accounting
• Attestation/Audit
• Financial Analysis
• Accrual Based Accounting
