What you bring:
As a Senior Global Compensation Consultant, you will bring your thought leadership and in-depth knowledge of international compensation practices and global market trends to provide strategic consulting support to internal stakeholders, including People & Culture (“P&C”) Business Partners and senior leaders in the organization.
You are a highly analytical thinker and possess meticulous attention to detail, in addition to expertise in stakeholder management and delivering thoughtful insights derived from complex data.
With your consultative approach, strategic focus and pragmatism, you will ensure the innovative design and delivery of programs (including annual benchmarking, annual merit-based salary increases, short- and long-term incentive compensation and M&A integration) into your client groups.

Working as a trusted partner to P&C team members, you will consult and advise on a diverse set of business challenges where the analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
You will leverage your professional understanding of total rewards to support the design, facilitation and education of compensation programs that support the constantly changing needs of our business landscape in multiple countries.
P&C decision-makers and TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods' senior leadership depend on the Compensation team to provide guidance on internal and external market trends, and we help empower leaders to effectively attract, retain, and engage team members in alignment with TELUS' talent strategy.
Here's how:
- Structure recommendations for global compensation frameworks in international markets where TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods operates and acquires talent, including base salaries, incentive compensation and benefits.
- Develop compensation recommendations for international hires in collaboration with Legal and other P&C stakeholders, including Talent Acquisition.
- Review and optimize compensation and payroll service delivery models for talent outside of Canada.
- Act as a trusted advisor and key point of contact to P&C Business Partners in identifying compensation and organizational design challenges, and provide guidance to help develop solutions.
- Align global compensation approaches with business needs by providing recommendations and solutions to drive effective talent attraction, development and retention.
- Collaborate on the design and execution of annual compensation benchmarking, making recommendations based on insights and thoughtful observations.
- Deliver on special projects through various stages, from initial assessment with the business through to implementation.
- Prepare presentations and analyses for executive audiences; outlining results, trends and costings.

- External market awareness and insight of global compensation trends and legislation.
- Progressive experience in compensation analyst or consultant roles OR in HR generalist positions with an understanding of compensation practices in a global context, including but not limited to incentive plan administration.
- Sound analytical and decision-making skills: ability to decipher moderately complex data sets and deliver recommendations and insights grounded in data over gut instinct.
- A problem-solving mindset: the fundamentals of taking a problem, conducting analysis, and synthesizing recommendations.
- Excellent collaboration skills: someone with strong business acumen that others actively seek out to partner with.
- Excellent communication skills: clear, concise and influential in all aspects of communication.
- An affinity for fast-paced, continuously changing, dynamic environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Success Factors and G-Suite.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and education.
Great-to-have:
- Hold or working towards your CPHR/CRHA/CCP designation (or equivalent).
- Bilingual – comfort with writing and speaking in both English and French.
