Senior Managed Transportation Analyst Job at Ruan Transportation Management Systems
Independently leads efforts in all aspects of Managed Transportation customer's business, focusing on value creation, business intelligences, problem solving with data and develops strategic solutions that improves the analytics, and the business performance. Handles complex problems and is a peer leader.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Carrying out the Company's organizational values and operating in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies are required functions. Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Works independently as well as collaborative with team members and customers to create value through analytics and information that transforms the business.
- Leads and conducts data analysis projects to identify areas of opportunity for continuous improvement projects. Responsibly for customer metrics, identify trends, variables impacting the business, and predictive analytics that dive business behavior.
- Leads customer facing and internal presentation. Develops and maintains professional customer relations via frequent communications to help facilitate a trusted and longer-term partnership.
- Utilizes reporting, data base tools and software such as Power BI and Microsoft excel to develop reports that are easily understood by the operations teams.
- Mentors, trains and provides coaching to other analyst and business user on these tools to ensure adoption of reporting and metrics.
- Updates, maintains, manipulates, and administers various reporting and database systems to ensure data accuracy and reporting continuity.
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
Course(s) of Study: Logistics, Transportation, Engineering or related field of study
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: 3-5 years
Type of Experience: Experience in logistics supply chain industry with operational, process improvement, project management and analytics.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
- Must be able to commit to Ruan's value statement by acting with integrity in everything we do.
- Must be able to meet behavioral expectations and perform in alignment with our guiding principles: safety, people, customer, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Practical experience with CI methodologies, to include Six Sigma and Lean.
- Track record of successful execution of cross-functional projects in a variety of business settings and situations.
- Experience should include communication with high-level executives and efficient, goal-focused meetings.
- Employee should have broad knowledge of Microsoft Office products, e-mail, internet access, and computer based project management software.
- Employee must have ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
- Employee must have ability to analyze and document complex business processes, make effective decisions under pressure, think analytically and be a problem solver by gathering and interpreting relevant data and information. Individual must be able to set priorities and accomplish duties with little and remote supervision and direction.
