The True Tandem team is looking for a Microsoft 365 (Security) Engineer with a specialization in Microsoft cloud technologies to support the implementation of endpoint security and compliance enhancements for an organization. The candidate will be required to hit the ground running using Microsoft Cloud App Security to manage and secure Microsoft 365 components and work on a mixture of Cloud and on-Prem Endpoint Security solutions. The Engineer will execute activities and deliverables for each phase (assess, remediate, enable, and migrate) across multiple product workstreams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in either security operations, security engineering and/or incident response.
- 4+ years of providing technical support for the implementation of Azure and Microsoft 365 endpoint security, compliance, and identity management service
- Hands-on experience with Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection and latest Microsoft E5 or G5 Security Product set (e.g., Azure AD, multi-factor authentication Microsoft Defender, Office 365 threat protection, data loss prevention, and conditional access, Windows AppLocker, and Microsoft Cloud App Security).
- Implement Microsoft 365 endpoint security, compliance, and identity management services in or between an on-premises environment and an Azure Microsoft 365 tenant, not limited to review of existing environment, architectural planning, and customer workshops.
- Configure, implement, and test Office 365 advanced threat protection and management including Exchange On-line Protection (EOP), Safe Attachments, Safe Links, etc.
- Configure, implement, and test Microsoft 365 compliance center and Microsoft Cloud App Security-based data loss protection capabilities and policies
- Configure, implement, and test Office 365 guest access and conditional sharing
- Configure, implement, and test Windows AppLocker policies
- Assist with implementing and responding to/remediated threats using Microsoft Defender for endpoint management and anti-malware services, migrating from a third-party solution (e.g., McAfee Anti-Virus), and activating Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS device endpoints.
- Assist with implementing Microsoft Defender for Identity to detect threats, test, and support remediation efforts
- Execute as hands-on engineer within defined scope and follow direction of the Systems Architect and/or Project Manager
- U.S. Citizen or individual with authorization to work in the U.S.
- Bachelor of Arts or Science degree with a focus on Software, Development, or IT Security
- Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900) certificate
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience implementing Microsoft Intune for mobile device and application management (MDM/MAM), and migrating from a third-party MDM/MAM (e.g., Airwatch to Intune).
One or more cybersecurity analyst or security incident handler certifications, such as CySA+, E|CSA, E|CIH, GCIH, CSIH, or Microsoft 365 Certified Security Administrator Associate
- Experience implementing Derived Credential functionality for an organization’s mobile devices using their existing Entrust certificates.
- Experience with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) administration and solid experience in systems development, network operations, and software support
- Strong PowerShell scripting
- Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900) certificate
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator (MS-500) Associate certificate
- Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-101) certificate
CLEARANCE:
- This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements. The candidate must be able to obtain a security clearance at the High Risk Public Trust level.
