Position Summary:

The Sr. Network Administrator will manage various datacenter, infrastructure, IT, and business systems. The Sr. Network Administrator works diligently to ensure system wide availability and recoverability. The ideal candidate is a jack-of-all trades with in-depth expertise in the areas of Windows Server Technologies, LAN/WAN & Firewalls, and Exchange who will be responsible for The Parking Spot’s network infrastructure. This position will be based in Chicago, but domestic travel will be required from time to time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage server hardware and software for 100+ Hyper-V virtual servers in two clusters across 12 hosts at two datacenters and Azure
  • Manage EMC and Dell storage arrays
  • Manage hybrid Exchange 365 environment
  • Manage Microsoft Active Directory, DNS servers, and multi-factor authentication configurations
  • Manage web and application servers and load balancers
  • Manage MPLS/WAN connectivity to The Parking Spot facilities and datacenters
  • Manage corporate and facility networks including routers, switches, and wireless access points
  • Manage firewalls in a hybrid environment including physical and virtual hardware, security and routing policies and related access management policies
  • Improve and maintain security and PCI compliance within LAN/WAN environment
  • Manage changes to the Disaster Recovery plan and perform regular tests
  • Support network systems in a 24/7 environment ensuring stability, security, and optimal performance. This includes monthly after-hours maintenance and responding to emergencies at any hour.
  • Maintain detailed network information, included diagrams and documentation
  • Troubleshoot multi-platform / multi-vendor issues, determining scope, problem identification and resolution.
  • Lead Network Administration team and Support Help Desk for complex issues often relating to servers, firewall, routing, or other advanced network issues
  • Support other departments technology projects and ensure they are implemented securely

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • 4-year degree in Computer Science or Information System
  • 5+ years relevant IT experience
  • Experience managing Windows servers (Active Directory, Exchange, MS SQL, IIS) and Azure resources
  • Experience managing Microsoft 365 suite of products including Windows 10, OneDrive, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Experience supporting and maintaining a secure hybrid Exchange environment including an on premise DAG, Exchange 365, spam filter, SPF/DKIM, and DMARC
  • Experience working with VPN and direct connections to Azure and AWS
  • Experience with Microsoft DFS shares and migrating data to OneDrive
  • Experience with Microsoft systems management tools (SCCM, SCOM, VMM)
  • Experience working with Cisco and Adtran routers, Cisco and Meraki switches, and Meraki access points
  • Experience working with dynamic routing (BGP and OSPF), Switching, IPv4 and IPv6, multiple vLANs, Firewalls, UTM, vulnerability scanning and remediation, DDoS protection, multi-path routing, wireless setup and management, and load balancing
  • Ability to learn and understand business systems used throughout the company and be able to support and integrate those systems into existing and/or new environments.
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, NTP, SSH and other common network protocols
  • Experience with firewall concepts and technologies. Palo Alto and Meraki brand equipment experience a plus.
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting wireless access points and multiple virtual wireless networks.
  • Data center power and cooling management concepts a plus but not required
  • VBScript & Power Shell experience a plus but not required
  • .NET Windows/Web application development a plus but not required
  • Exposure to PCI DSS a plus but not required
  • Ability to lift and carry 75lb+ servers with little or no assistance
