Why this role
Evolve is building an enterprise-grade API framework and integration platform using serverless architecture and modern technologies to enable high performing data integration services at scale. The Sr. Node.JS Engineer is a ground-floor opportunity to participate in the design and implementation of every aspect of the platform and be a key member of the team that will help lead technical design and build out new functionality on this state of the art platform. What you’ll do
- Collaborate on architecture/design and lead implementation on complex systems in a manner that is usable and maintainable by other developers
- Make high-level design choices and have ability to communicate expected technical standards and patterns
- Implement new features utilizing NodeJS and TypeScript that improve and extend the platform while preserving and enhancing the performance, stability, and security of the system
- Mentor and lead (as a technical expert) a team of (3-5) engineers building the product
- Help define and continuously improve coding standards and agile processes
- Participate in data design with an eye to data governance
What makes you a great fit
- 5+ years JavaScript and JS frameworks (preferably NodeJS or TypeScript)
- Experience leading technical design and implementation on large projects
- 2+ years of serverless development (e.g. AWS)
- Experience with document (e.g. PostGres, Mongo) and relational databases (e.g. MySQL, SQL Server)
- Experience with CI/CD processes, working with DevOps to enable engineers to ship code to production efficiently
- Experience with paired programming OR mentoring junior engineers
Location
Evolve has a flexible working environment so teammates can work remotely anywhere in the state of Colorado, in our beautiful downtown Denver office, remotely or a hybrid of both! As we grow, we are working towards opening remote opportunities across the entire U.S. We currently are able to hire across the U.S except in the following locations: California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, New Jersey, New Mexico, and Pennsylvania.
Compensation
For this role our salary range is $138,000 to $159,000 depending on relevant experience. This role will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on both company and individual performance.
Additional compensation details:
Equity 50% of salary equivalent RSUs
Variable comp: 10% of salary target
