Job Summary

Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is seeking a Senior Operations Administrative Assistant to provide general administrative office duties in accordance with policies and regulations.

The Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) is a Joint Services Program. The United States Army (USA) and the United States Marine Corps (USMC) are the two main proponents of the JLTV Joint Program Office (JPO). JPO JLTV requires a joint service (USA/USMC) PM FP, the Life Cycle Manager for the JLTV Family of Vehicles (FoV) requires services for the procurement, delivery, and sustainment of JLTV systems. This supports implementation and sustainment of current program actions and future programs.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Collecting information to establish the facts and take required action, preparation of data, information, and comments for reports; responses to inquiries or action items; briefing material and publications; budgeting; Government personnel records; Government employee time and attendance; payroll; and durable and non-durable inventory; status tracking, documenting meeting minutes, and building security checks.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and documents ensuring correct grammar, format, and clarity in accordance with correspondence regulations and policy AR-25-50 Preparing and Managing Correspondence.
  • Establish and update data files.
  • Use a variety of Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Microsoft SharePoint to create charts, emails, and official correspondence, input tracking data and administrative reports.
  • Maintain employee attendance records, arrange for travel, maintain calendars, schedule meetings and appointments, submit visitor requests, and receive visitors and phone calls with the ability to ascertain the nature of the request, and direct callers to the appropriate staff.
  • Process travel orders and vouchers using JPO JLTV processes and the Government’s Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • Maintain attendance on a daily basis using the Government’s Out-Of-Office (OOO) and Automated Time Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS) program on the PEO CS&CSS SharePoint portal as well as balance the attendance reports.
  • Promote awareness, operational security, and compliance regarding safety issues in the workplace.
  • Responsible for operations support to JPO JLTV Operations and JPO JLTV where needed. The contractor shall gather and consolidate briefing packages, capture process improvements, and provide recommended courses of action for improved operational processes. Assist the Systems Acquisition Project Officer with the tasker module and collaborate with stakeholders on streamlining functions within the operations and tasker system.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
  • Ability to use modern Information Communication Technology (ICT) equipment: telephone exchange, computer, copier, printer, and scanner.
  • Proficiency is Government’s DTS, OOO and ATAAPS.
  • Typing speed minimum: 50 Words Per Minute (WPM).
  • Experience utilizing AR 25-50 Preparing and Managing Army Correspondence.
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.


Desired Skills/Qualifications


  • Previously served as MS Team Champion with experience training others of how to use MS Teams’ Features.
  • Experience using the Army Cproble Tableau application to present deliver Initial Operation Budget (IOB) metrics and configure IOB briefing material.
  • Experience using SharePoint and Army’s “Intelink” to share information across DoD agencies.
  • Experience using SharePoint slide libraries to manage briefing configurations and develop large briefings.
