Senior Operations Systems and Technology Engineer Job at Sheetz
Location: Sheetz Corporate - Claysburg, PA
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:Manage supply chain engineering opportunities to minimize operational costs, through labor productivity and maximizing system and equipment utilization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)
- Identify, measure, and facilitate improvement initiatives in store operations. Work with all departments and systems to encourage process ownership and teaming.
- Analyze store operations opportunities, perform financial analysis and effectively communicate results of analysis to facilitate decision-making.
- Drive improvements to the labor and service models by optimizing schedules, processes, and equipment. Lead in the development and analysis of reporting and processes.
- Develop performance metrics and tools for all levels to use in monitoring business processes. Oversee data collection, calculating, and reporting labor standards.
- Analyze processes to calculate operating expenses to accurately determine cost-to-serve. Develop tools to evaluate operating costs.
- Suggest system modifications to effectively manage inventory, labor, cleanliness and service levels in stores, enhancing productivity.
- Manage assigned departmental operating budgets and assist in review of other departmental budgets for alignment and organizational goals.
- Maximize the development of internal talent through regular performance coaching, performance reviews and presenting developmental opportunities.
- Identify, develop, and implement physical layout and process improvements that impact space utilization, process flow, and worker productivity. Be active from specification to implementation in the design and justification of new equipment to improve process at stores.
REQUIREMENTS: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)
Education

4 year degree in Industrial Engineering or related field required

3 years related experience required

Membership in a professional engineering society preferred
