The senior pastor will act as the chair of the church board and will be responsible for casting vision and implementing that vision for the church. He will be responsible for preaching on Sunday services and mid week services or making sure those services are covered. He will supervise and oversee multiple ministries that include but are not limited to the worship ministry, Sunday School, children’s ministry and youth ministry. We have a preference for a married individual.

Bolivar Pentecostal Church in beautiful Harpers Ferry, WV, is seeking a full time pastor after our pastor of 35 years has retired. We are a conservative Pentecostal church located about one hour outside of Washington DC located next to Harpers Ferry National Park. We average around 50-60 on Sunday Morning and desire to grow evangelistically, reaching our exploding population in Jefferson County, WV.
We are an independent Pentecostal church that we describe as conservative but not “old fashioned.” This phrase applies to our worship as well. We are looking for a pastor who is willing to cast a fresh vision and is passionate about God’s Word in lifestyle and ministry. Pastor must exhibit a “Spirit filled life” according to Acts 2 in every aspect of ministry. We are offering a full package including medical and retirement benefits totaling between $55,000-70,000 depending on experience and education. We prefer a married team and at least a four year Biblical studies/ pastoral degree but are open to anyone that might feel God’s call of ministry on their life.
