The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. The Senior Project Manager supports multi-year, federal, state and corporate projects with budgets of $500,000 and higher. Ideally located in either the Mounain or Pacific time zone as this role will be managing projects primarily on the West Coast.

Essential Duties:

  • Lead the initiation, planning, execution, and closing of Professional Services projects
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Identify project tasks, required resources, and expenses
  • Manage resource allocations of assigned resources
  • Manage project resources to ensure successful completion of the project and provide timely performance feedback
  • Develop scope, cost and schedule baselines
  • Ensure quality of all project deliverables to Briljent standards and client requirements
  • Constantly monitor and report on project progress to all stakeholders
  • Identify, obtain approval for, document and implement changes to scope, cost, and schedule baselines
  • Review and approve client and subcontractor invoices
  • Monitor project budget and hours to achieve target gross margin goals
  • Accurately forecast resource utilization and revenue recognition for assigned projects
  • Manage communication between project team and all client stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes, customer satisfaction, and a positive employee experience
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks
  • Define statements of work for subcontract partners
  • Support and develop junior project management staff
  • Ensure that all project assets are appropriately named and stored according to company guidelines
  • Ensure security and protection of all sensitive project data, including but not limited to client proprietary information, private health information (PHI) and non-public personal information (NPI)
Requirements:

  • Superior writing and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding organization, prioritization, time management skills and the ability to master complex systems and topics quickly

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well with a wide range of people, personalities, and levels within an organization
  • Ability to manage conflict and negotiate win-win solutions
  • Ability perform under pressure, and meet expected deadlines
  • Proficient with project management software

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in program/project management or equivalent work experience
  • PMP® Certification
  • At least 7 years of experience managing projects for external customers
  • PeopleSoft experience
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing projects exceeding $500,000 in budget
  • Experience managing projects with federal government, state government and private clients
  • Experience as a project manager/providing support for the implementation of programs/projects related to Medicaid
