Who you are:
You are ideally a food scientist, passionate about foods and beverages with an innate curiosity and interest in tea, in its history, its rituals and its innumerable expressions as consumer products. Passion for tea and herbals is essential.
You are a creative individual and enjoy product development which you have experienced for ideally at least 5 years.
You are capable of managing moderately complex projects and enjoy working independently while effectively coordinating within cross-functional teams.
You are data oriented but are also able to channel your creativity and passion in your developments and in your problem solving. As part of this role, you will drive and deliver the R&D activities across one of our Tea brands, manage the relationship with cross-functional business partners, including Global R&D, Brand Development, Supply Chain and Finance while also acting as a partner within the Tea business.
What you'll do:
You will translate the brand philosophy, culinary and consumer insights into superior new products that meet the project deliverables and contribute to the creation and execution of a stronger business strategy. As well as developing new products you will actively contribute to defining, tracking, prioritizing and delivering a robust savings project program for your brands according to set yearly targets.
You will acquire technical expertise on a particular area of the portfolio (for example tea powders) and represent such expertise for the business, deploying your solid know-how to make recommendations, support business continuity, and educate both internal and external customers.
You will respond to a group manager and will work within a product development team of 6. You’re a passionate developer: You are passionate about product development and are able to design and deliver new products including costing, specification creation and product testing protocols.
You possess sound basic knowledge of technical measurements and research methods and are able to analyze and interpret technical data, enjoy problem-solving and the R&D environment.
You are passionate about tea and herbals.
You’re a born leader: You love to lead and coordinate activities and are able to independently make decisions and provide solid recommendations representing the R&D view.
You’re a passionate developer: You are passionate about product development and are able to design and deliver independently.
You’re a dot connector: You are a team leader and are able to build strong relationships and actively guide cross-functional teams.
You’re a storyteller: You are an ambassador of your projects, communicating internally and externally.
Skills and experience:

Minimum bachelor's degree • 5+ years of experience in the food industry, preferably in product development and project management.

Passion for tea and herbals.

Proven project management experience in leading new product implementation from concept to commercialization.

SC experience/awareness preferred.

Ability to independently execute projects (innovation, Savings, Quality) with moderate complexity and coordinate all R&D activities.

Ability to manage stakeholders on both a Regional and Global level.

Fully operational in use of ingredients, formulation, process and product design principles.

Additionally, will need to work closely with suppliers to develop new ingredients to defined specification.

Ability to generate and lead state of the art developmental techniques and consumer testing methodologies to deliver superior products.

Excellent working knowledge of digital platforms, SAP, etc.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
