Title: Senior Staff Accountant
Location: Chantilly, VA
Compensation: $70000 / year
Keys to Hire:
- Comfortable preparing month-end and year-end close and reconciliations
- Has experience handling all GL updates
- Previous experience handling expense reporting and preparing budgets
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with all AP and AR processing and review discrepancies
- Record monthly journal entries and assist with account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare annual budget with Accounting Manager
- Manage the processing of cash receipts, recording of revenue and receivables
- Prepare annual forecasting and budget for actual variance reports per program and department.
- Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, employer’s benefit costs, accruals and prepaid expenses.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and interim grant financial reporting
Requirements:
- Must possess 5 years of accounting experience or have previous staff accountant background
- Advanced Excel
- Strong knowledge of large ERP system ideal (Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, Great Plains)
- Well organized and great communication
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration
