CO112: Buckley AFB 18500 East 6th Ave 18500 East 6th Avenue Buckley AFB, Aurora, CO, 80011 USARaytheon Technologies is looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer (Network Engineer) to manage and maintain our local test bed network infrastructure and portions of our enterprise network. In this position you will be responsible for managing and handling all network installation/configuration, firewalls, security hardening, and be responsible for trouble-shooting advanced network problems. As Senior Systems Engineer (Network Engineer) you will be responsible for the functional management of our network and the resolution of network issues.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Collaborating with enterprise network architects to design and implement program networks
Creating and implementing network security measures
Providing a network knowledgebase for the program’s system administration team
Monitoring network performance

Security Clearance:
An active and in-scope U.S. TS/SCI security clearance with C.I. polygraph
Required Skills:
A current DODI 8570.01-M IAT Level II (or higher) certification or the ability to obtain within the first 60 days of employment
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification
Experience as a network engineer
Advanced knowledge of network operating systems including Cisco, JUNOS, IOS
Knowledge of various networking hardware devices
Knowledge of communication and routing protocols
Desired Skills:
Designing, writing and updating system documentation, restoration procedures and network diagrams
Familiarity with network analysis tools
Knowledge of cyber security hardening requirements on network devices
Linux System administration experience with various versions of RHEL Linux and Windows
Proficiency with coding languages and/or scripting: Bourne, Python, Perl, Korn, Bash
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to teach network principles to the team
Must possess excellent troubleshooting skills and have the discipline to work independently or unsupervised when necessary and able to learn quickly
Education Requirements:
5 years of relevant experience with a BS degree (typically STEM focused - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics); or 3 years of relevant experience with a MS degree (typically STEM focused - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)
Employee Referral Award Eligibility: Only employees currently within RMD and RI&S have the potential to receive a Referral Award for submitting a referral to RMD and RI&S roles. ALL eligibility requirements must be met to receive the Referral Awarding.
The salary range for this role is $70,000.00 to $152,000.00; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
