We are seeking a highly motivated, talented Senior Accountant with 3 to 5 years of diverse experience for our expanding tax practice. Our ideal candidate will be local to the Charlotte area; however, for the right person, we may consider applicants outside the area. Responsibilities:

Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, S-corp and non-profit returns with minimal errors

Prepare amended returns, tax projections, property tax returns, benefit plan returns and payroll tax returns

Prepare workpapers and ensure tasks are achieved within designated time frames and budgets

Research tax matters and summarize findings for reviewers

Train and coach Staff Accountants

Identify issues and implementing solutions for clients

Build working relationships with clients

Possess the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities with varying deadlines

Collaborate with team members to effect meaningful outcomes for the benefit of the client

Assist with special projects as applicable

Ensure billings are processed accurately and in a timely fashion

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

CPA certification preferred

3 – 5 years’ solid tax experience

Understand GAAP and other methods of accounting and reporting for income taxes

Strong technical accounting knowledge and skills

Ability and desire to work within a fast-paced environment

Team player with a positive and proactive approach

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills

Previous experience with CCH ProSystem Engagement or CCH Axcess a plus
