We are seeking to add experienced, hospitable servers to our team at our brewery and brewpub in Webster Groves.

Perennial on Lockwood opened in 2020 as the second location of Perennial Artisan Ales. We brew beers on-site exclusive to Perennial on Lockwood and pour those alongside classic brews from Perennial South City. We also serve lunch and dinner 7 days a week in our brewpub, with menus in collaboration with our sister restaurant, Olive + Oak, who happens to be connected in the same building as us.

While we are certainly recruiting for servers with solid experience in our industry, we are first and foremost seeking applicants with the personality, maturity, and charisma needed to provide a high level of hospitality. Going out of our way to make our guests feel good is as important to us as serving excellent food and makes all the difference when guests decide whether to make a return trip. Our service will ensure our guests want for nothing, but our hospitality – our ability to make genuine human connections – will create loyal and vocal fans.

A typical day at Perennial on Lockwood will entail the following:

• Arrive before service to set up the brewpub
• Attend pre-shift line-up meetings for food, beverage, and service updates
• Provide exceptional hospitality through either lunch or dinner service
• Work as a team to maintain efficiency of service and tidiness of brewpub
• Delegate tasks to bussers when needed
• Perform light side-work duties after completion of service
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menus at all times

We seek the following qualities in server applicants:

• At least 2 years of experience serving in full-service restaurants
• Strong knowledge of food, beer, wine, spirits, and our industry in general
• The desire to continue education in the above topics, particularly beer
• Confidence, poise, maturity, sociability, and humility

We can offer either full-time or part-time hours, with a mixture of daytime and nighttime shifts. Lunch shifts tend to run from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., while dinner shifts tend to run from 3:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Information about our offered benefits can be found at the bottom of this page.
