The Commons of Hilltop is known for the great care we take of our residents and staff members alike. The Commons is looking to hire a positive, patient, and motivated individual for our Dining Room. Applicants must be willing to work in a fast paced, fun, and challenging environment. This position is responsible for providing the residents of The Commons and their guests the best dining experience possible to include taking orders, serving meals, and maintaining the Dining Room. The starting wage is $14.00-15.75 per hour depending on experience. Weekends and holidays are required. Breakfast/lunch shifts start at 6:30 am and end around 3:30 pm. Dinner shifts are flexible and can start between 3:30-4 pm and end around 7 pm. Part time and full time schedules available. Come join our awesome dining room team!
Due to state licensing requirements, certain immunizations and clearances are required for all staff who work in our Assisted Living Facilities. Our staff is required to obtain an influenza and COVID-19 vaccination as well as a negative Tuberculous skin test upon hire.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing customer service to residents, guests, and staff.
- Accurately taking food orders, placing orders in kitchen, and serving when order is ready.
- Clearing dishes from tables during and after each meal.
- Setting up service carts and ensuring items are fresh and adequately supplied.
- Filling table condiments, cream, and sugar containers.
- Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming the dining area after each meal.
- Cleaning and stocking the staff wait station and/or Bistro, companion wing, and breakroom.
- Assist dishwasher in cleaning, sanitizing and safely storing dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, etc.
- Inspecting and maintaining proper chemicals for the dishwasher.
- Serving residents and their guests meals in a timely and professional manner.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning assignments.
- Ensure food storage, food handling, and supplies meet all Mesa County and State of Colorado Health Dept. regulations.
