Compensation: Starting $22.52/hour (Depends on experience)

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Creates and requires a safe, respectful environment for all employees.
• Oversees production and crew activities during assigned shift.
• Ensures all products are produced on schedule.
• Works closely with resources to identify and eliminate constraints limiting production throughput and aggressively implements team suggestions for improvements.
• Ensures people schedules are complete and coordinates labor requirements with the production schedule. Records unreported absences of employees and temporaries.
• Provides day-to-day leadership by:
  • Communicating with all coordinators and operators to ensure they have what is needed to do their job(s).
  • Working with coordinators and operators to facilitate decision-making.
  • Helping to solve safety, equipment, product and production problems.
• Effectively explains the principles of lean manufacturing and how methodology guides production changes/improvements.
• Provides direction to assist employees in improving skills/knowledge and performance to become more effective.
• Provides instruction to employees on how to perform tasks more efficiently or safely.

Qualifications of this job?

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have an in-depth knowledge of equipment, products and production procedures.
• Experience as a Chamber Coordinator is preferred.
• Proven leadership abilities and excellent communication/interpersonal skills required.
• Basic math ability and demonstrated accuracy following instructions and completing documentation in a timely manner are required.
• Must be a current OFD employee.

Working conditions of this job?

• Typical plant conditions (varying temperatures, wet, dry, high noise).
• Ability to work varying shifts, nights, weekends and holidays is required.
