Shift Manager - Assists the Site Manager in overseeing accounts with extended operational hours or larger accounts in excess of 250,000 sq. ft. Ensures that quality control measures are in place to maintain high levels of service with customer specifications/contract requirements. Position reports to Site Manager
- Lead, manage and direct the operations of all assigned cleaning staff on a specific shift. This includes both regular cleaning operations and specialty operations
- Responsible for overall direction, coordination and evaluation of personnel on a specific assigned shift. Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with Company policies
- Responsible for training new general cleaner employees
- Ensures that all required shift paperwork and reports are submitted timely and accurately
- Participates in regularly scheduled building inspections to ensure compliance with account cleaning specifications
- Promote and exhibit Company culture and values
- Maintain daily communication with lead staff to resolve issues or problems. Investigate employee incidents and accidents
- Ensure that customer cleaning specifications are being followed and check regularly on customer satisfaction
- Ensures that staff appearance is professional
- Schedules periodic project work
- Allocates work responsibilities among staff effectively
- Supervises all training programs, both for new and existing employees
- Instructs employees on the proper methods of cleaning and maintenance
- Corrects deficiencies
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to work every other weekend
- Mandatory topics are as follows:
- Chemicals
- Tools and equipment
- Dusting and spot cleaning
- Restroom cleaning, disinfection, and dispenser refilling
- Other duties as assigned by management
