This position is primarily responsible for providing a full range of deployment and distribution services for base organizations to include day-to-day, exercise, deployments, and contingency operations.
Essential Functions:
Duties of this position include dock/packing and crating experience.
Job Requirements
- Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within the past 10 years as a crater.
- Must be able to be awarded and maintain the Hazardous Cargo certification (IAW AFMAN 24-204). This is a two (2) week course, currently held in Ft. Lee Va., and must be passed on the first attempt to be certified for this position.
- Must be able to receive and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
- Assignments require a good working knowledge of Air Force systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, manuals, or other established guidelines.
- Physical demands: Ability to continuously stand or walk, bend, squat, pull and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be detailed oriented, a self-starter and work well independently.
- Flexible scheduling to include occasional overtime and some weekend work for emergencies and USAF Reserve support (UTAs).
- Experienced in Pallet Buildup
- Required to be Material Handling Equipment (MHE) qualified on 2K-15K forklift.
- Required to be Aircraft Loading/Unloading qualified.
