Shipper/Receiver Job at Manufacturing & Technology Centre
Reporting to the General Manager, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for overseeing all shipping and receiving dock activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule distribution of goods
- Prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents
- Pick and pack goods to be shipped / Unpack & sort goods received
- Control movement and location of inventory
- Load and unload trucks
- Move and stack materials
- General housekeeping duties in the warehouse or production area and duties as assigned
- Receive/process shipments
- Perform proper forklift inspections and follow forklift operating guidelines and procedures
- General warehouse duties
- Other duties as requested
Physical & Working conditions
- Stand and sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 lbs
Qualifications
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Minimum high school diploma
- Basic computer knowledge to do data entry (Internet, Excel, and Word knowledge is preferred)
Requirements
- Forklift training certificate
- Pre-employment Police Background check is mandatory
- Drug screening
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
