We’re looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for our Southeast Houston client!
DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:
- Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk
- Location: Southeast Houston
- Pay: $16-18/hour
- Hours: 8-5
- Duration: Temp-to-hire
- Description of Duties: We are currently assisting one of our growing clients with a search for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. This position will compare information for incoming and outgoing shipments to verify against bills of lading, invoices or orders. Determine method of shipment. Attach shipping labels and instructions on cartons. Assemble cardboard shipping containers and placing items to be shipped inside. Seal containers with shipping tape and attach postage. Unpack and examine incoming shipments, rejecting damages and documenting shortages. Communicate with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Route items to departments. Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Maintain shipping log.
- Requirements: Associates degree or equivalent related experience. Prior experience in shipping and receiving is required.
