Summary: The shipping clerk is responsible for managing the administrative aspects of all fruit shipments from Manson with particular focus on ensuring proper documentation for each shipment. This position will also assist with warehouse operations as needed. The desired candidate will have:

• a positive attitude when working under tight deadlines
• successful experience in a customer service environment
• a professional demeanor when working with internal and external customers

Experience working in warehouse shipping preferred but not mandatory.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills; Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Proficiency with computers, printers, tablets and scanners
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Word
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Ability to multitask
• Works well under time constraints
• Fast and accurate data entry skills
• Knowledge of export shipping requirements
• Ability to work well with others and positively influence outcome of team projects
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Job Duties/Expectations:

• Primary point of contact for transport companies hauling fruit sales from Manson Growers
• Scheduling domestic and export shipments
• Accurate production of bills of lading and shipping orders
• Preparation of outgoing shipping notices
• Quality assurance related to documentation of all of outgoing shipments
• May include managing assistant shipping clerk, providing clear direction on responsibilities and job performance
• Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hrs/week
• Saturdays, as needed
• Overtime, as needed
• Daily schedule to be determined

• Additional duties as assigned.
