Position Summary:

Construct containers such as boxes, crates, etc. and/or operate shrink wrap equipment and pack, weigh, and mark products and containers for shipment along with painting production items prior to shipment Perform general labor work in and about the plant and office.

Job Duties:

• Cleans windows, factory floors, machinery, other apparatus and equipment.
• Cleans surfaces to be painted by scraping, sanding, washing, grinding, wiping, etc. while utilizing masks. Tape and shield product as needed.
• Uses paint brush and spray gun to do general painting work such as building, columns, safety lines, markings, machinery, etc. as directed. Cleaning painting equipment upon use.
• Coats anchor bolts as directed.
• Uses saw, hammer, nailing gun and stapler to assemble crates and boxes, to affix braces, to close containers, etc.
• Make wedges, shelving, or bins as directed.
• Packs products in containers using packing materials and strapping equipment as required.
• Uses propane torch to shrink wrap product
• Uses stencil, paint, or marking tools to label containers with contents, addresses, etc.
• Weighs products and packages for shipment to obtain gross, net and tare weights.
• Loads and unloads trucks manually.
• Uncrates or unwraps incoming and returned shipments.
• Marks reports as required.
• Moves items as needed.
• Maintains work area in safe, clean, and orderly condition.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Please note this position will begin at 5460 Horning Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15236 (Baldwin Boro) and will permanently be relocated around summer 2023 to 100 Vista Dr. Charleroi, PA 15022

The pay for this position is progressive:

Starting pay = $20.00/hour

Pay upon 6 months of service = $22.00/hour

Pay upon 12 months of service = $24.00/hour

Pay upon 18 months of service = $28.82/hour
