Fairchild Equipment, Inc. is seeking a stable, hard-working, dependable and motivated Shipping and Receiving associate for our Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin branch. This position requires you to get our product to its destination in a safe and timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction. In addition, this position is essential to ensure our inventory stock remains accurate and organized. As our Shipping and Receiving associate, you will be trained on all aspects of our parts department to assist the team whenever necessary. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pull, package and ship orders; ensure accuracy and efficiency with all orders.
  • Assist shop technician’s with pulling parts and/or inventory when requested per their work order.
  • Receiving of parts and goods, inventory management and organization, and other related tasks.
  • Organizing and maintaining the inventory and department.
  • Receiving inventory into our business software and putting inventory away in the designated locations.
  • Occasionally driving a company owned/leased vehicle to Fairchild branches, customers, vendors, etc. to pick-up and/or drop off materials/orders.
  • Ability to back-up and support our Parts Department with parts expediting when needed by expediting movement of parts between vendors, customers and mechanics, sending out parts for exchange, returns or repairs and taking and fulfilling parts orders, including looking up parts for different makes and models.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory movements and accuracy.
  • Assist in the organization and cleanliness of parts in the Shipping and Receiving Department and Parts Department.
  • Willingness to accept new duties, responsibilities and special projects as assigned by your direct manager.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
  • Basic to moderate computer skills.
  • Adapt and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work overtime and have flexibility to accommodate the needs of the position.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

  • Pushing- using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
  • Pulling- using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
  • Lifting- raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally form position-to-position.
  • Grasping- applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm.
  • Talking- Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Hearing- Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
  • Occasional physical activity of the position:
    • Climbing- ascending or descending.
    • Balancing- maintaining body equilibrium.
    • Fingering- perceiving attributes of objects by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
  • The visual acuity requirements:
    • The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or equipment.
    • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts.
  • The conditions the worker will be submitted to in this position:
    • The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions: one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin; fumes, orders, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
  • The worker is subject to extreme heat: Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions such as wind and humidity.
  • The worker is subject to extreme cold: Temperatures below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions such as wind and humidity.
  • The worker is occasionally required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
  • The worker may be subject to oils: there is air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.
