Shop Accounting Assistant Job at Sterling Transportation Services
General Summary:
The Office assistant is responsible for a variety of accounting/clerical tasks related to the transportation and repair industry for our customers and vendors. Payroll experience is a plus! Monday-Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm. No Holidays or Weekends!
Essential Job Functions can include:
- Greeting Customers
- Gathering Customer Information
- Invoicing
- Answering Phones
- Collecting Payments
- Accounts Receivable
- Accounts Payable
- Collections
- Back up for Payroll
- Other related duties as may be assigned*
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Knowledge of general accounting functions including, but not limited to, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Payroll. Sage experience is a plus.
· Excellent history of attendance and punctuality
· Knowledge and skills to operate computer efficiently.
· Proficient in 10-key adding machine
· Previous experience in a service writer position a plus.
