POSITION SUMMARY

This position is for an experienced, highly technical civil engineer looking to join our team of design professionals. We are a progressive, tight-knit company with many growth opportunities. Our firm primarily manages county and local governmental projects throughout Michigan, so experience or knowledge of these areas would be preferred. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site engineering projects.

A TYPICAL DAY ON THE JOB

• Analyze photographs, drawings, and maps to inform the direction of projects as well as the overall budget constraints
• Responsible for the preparation of grading and site plans
• Responsible for the design and creation of plans for water mains, sanitary sewers, and storm sewers
• Preparation of storm water management calculations and plans
• Perform and adjust quantity calculations for practical and budgetary purposes
• Client, public, project, and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc..
• Forecast design and construction time frames
• Inspect project sites to ensure they meet relevant codes and progressing properly
  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• You have an accredited Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• You have 10+ years’ civil engineering experience
• You have extensive AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
• You have highly developed team management and leadership skills
• You have working knowledge of site utilities and drainage calculations
• You have a PE license (highly desirable)
