BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Our current opening is for a qualified bi-lingual individual that will work full time on-site at our customer’s manufacturing plant located in Santa Isabel, PR. We are Wesco Integrated Supply (WIS), a division of Wesco International, and provide our customers with advanced integrated supply programs and crib management systems for their MRO shop supplies needs. Our customer is Collins Aerospace. Needed hours are 1st shift/daytime - Monday thru Friday. Proof of US citizenship and successful completion of background checks and drug check is mandatory for employment. Covid vaccination preferred to comply with Collins’ requirements for working on site.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Program Manager, the ideal candidate will be highly organized and detail oriented, fluently bilingual and accurately read/write in English/Spanish with much verbal and email communications in both languages daily, demonstrate effective people skills, possess above average computer skills, and will perform a variety of responsibilities to provide overall program support and satisfaction to our customer while working onsite within their facility in Santa Isabel, PR. The candidate will be responsible for providing material handling, exceptional customer service, purchasing support (order entry, expediting, returns, RFQ’s, etc.), inventory control (including product database management, maintenance of min/max levels, etc.), contract compliance, quality measurements, cost savings initiatives, systems and database management, working closely with our supplier base, report processing, and generating new business. Familiarity with MRO shop supplies and industrial distribution is a plus.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Position requires fluent communications in both English and Spanish. You must be able to fluently speak, read and write in English and Spanish.
  • Must be comfortable standing/walking most of the day. Work involves opening boxes/shipments, physically transporting parts, organizing and counting products, and various computer work.
  • Must have a positive attitude, plus a friendly and helpful personality – proactively taking that extra step to build positive customer relationships by offering exceptional customer service.
  • Must work accurately.
  • Above average computer skills. Candidate must be proficient in Excel, email programs such as Outlook, and the ability to effectively organize files on a PC.
  • Ability to drive cost savings opportunities within the plant by working jointly with our supplier base and/or customer – resulting in meeting our contractual obligations.
  • Strong work ethic, attendance, attention to detail, and work accuracy.
  • Comfortable working independently. Knows what needs to be done, and does it without management/supervisory intervention.
  • Ability to successfully perform each of the duties described.

Experience that is not required, but would be a PLUS:

  • Knowledge of Maintenance, Repair, and Operating Supply (MRO or ‘shop’) Supplies. (hand tools, maintenance, safety/PPE, fasteners, packaging, janitorial, electrical, adhesives, chemicals, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, etc. etc.)
  • Knowledgeable of the role of an industrial distributor and integrated supply.
  • Familiarity of industrial or manufacturing work environments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical inventories as assigned and other inventory or stockroom projects as needed.
  • Hand deliver crib inventory orders and spot buys to designated areas/personnel within the Santa Isabel facilities.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in stocking locations.
  • Maintain paper and electronic files per standards (supplier packing slips, e-Crib pick tickets, receiving reports, etc.)
  • Physically receive in and key shipments into PC program generated orders for both crib and spot-buys.
  • Generate and work daily e-crib receiving reports.
  • Stock/restock designated storage locations-may include cribs, stockrooms, kanbans, point of use locations, vending machines, etc.
  • Run and reconcile key crib reports, such as the Billed-Not Received, Delivery Entry, Open Order Report, Received-Not Billed, Unreleased Orders, etc. Refer to WIS master report listing and ISO documentation. etc.
  • Confer with customer to continually enhance and further implement the program. Evaluate areas for improvement and expanded services. Expand scope within Collins and WIS guidelines.
  • Drive cost savings opportunities within the plant by working jointly with WIS supplier base and/or customer – resulting in meeting our contractual obligations. Ensure cost savings ideas generated, documented and submitted to the customer for approval. Maintain the IDEAS cost savings database.
  • Work with local Division personnel to establish objectives. Provide published reports and metrics to keep local site management informed regarding program performance.
  • Work with end users and WIS to monitor, adjust and manage inventory min / max parameters in support of program goals.
  • Work to achieve overall site performance and satisfaction as it relates to WIS program.
  • Research customer problems and provide them with corrective action solutions in a timely manner.
  • Provide monthly inventory management reports (IMR) to designated representative(s).
  • Process customer returns.
  • Monitor crib inventory ownership flag status of any WIS-owned inventory held on site and review with the designated representative for contract compliance.
  • Expedite shipments and resolve delivery and sourcing problems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Program Manager.
