Summary & Mission:

This position contributes to ExxonMobil & SGH Corporations success by assisting the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. This job deploys partners and delegates tasks so that partners can create and maintain the ExxonMobil/ SGH CORP experience for our customers. Models and acts in accordance with ExxonMobil/SGH CORPs guiding principles.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of ExxonMobil & SGH CORP.
  • Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
  • Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues. Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create the positive energy for the work environment for each shift.
  • Assists with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed. Provides feedback to store manager on partner performance during shift.
  • Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in partner morale and performance and communicating them to the store manager.
  • Creates a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to partners on shift to ensure operational excellence and to improve partner performance.
  • Delivers legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer. Discovers and responds to customer needs.
  • Develops positive relationships with shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns.
  • Executes store operations during scheduled shifts. Organizes opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Follows ExxonMobil/ SGH CORPs operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
  • Follows all cash management and cash register policies and ensures proper cash management practices are followed by shift team.
  • Follows up with cashiers and pump attendants during shift to ensure the delivery if legendary customer service for all customers.
  • Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational tools and by collaborating with store manager to find new, creative and effective methods of recognition.
  • Utilizes operational tools to achieve operational excellence during shift.
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance.

General Responsibilities:

  • Possession of a valid and appropriate Driver’s License and automobile insurance.
  • Possession of a Working cell phone or land line.
  • Promote and support Company image standards.
  • Available to answer team member’s inquiries or Site Operator inquiries including after regular work day (after 5:00 PM daily).
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and or holidays.
  • Meet store operating policies and standards, including cash handling and store safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Complies with Company meal and rest break policies.
  • Adheres to all of Guam’s laws & regulations including verifying age with a valid I.D. for age restricted sales.
  • Adheres to all 100% ID check for all Credit /Debit, Mobil Fleet, MCB cards.
  • Presents a neat, clean appearance in uniform.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all accidents immediately.
  • Monitors the operations of store equipment for proper functioning; performs minor or routine repairs or adjustments as needed. Reports broken equipment to the Territory Manager, Site Operator or JCI which was not repaired at store level.

Qualification Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

Customer Service experience in retail or service station environment – 1 year

Language and/or Communication Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence both hand written and through email. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and team members. Ability to use Computers and work with Work sheets (EXCEL) in reporting numbers and scheduling.

Mathematic Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Reasoning Abilities: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
