Snow Groomer - Experienced (Full-Time/Part-Time) Job at Mt. Rose Development Company
POSITION SUMMARY
The Groomer/ Snowmaker I is involved with making man-made snow and grooming ski runs at an introductory level.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid drivers’ license.
- Must be available to work days or nights including weekends on a flexible basis.
- Previous heavy equipment operation experience preferred.
- Excellent English communication skills required.
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills required.
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize tasks.

EXTERNAL: Resort guests
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
o Involved with the set up and tear down of snowmaking equipment.
o Responsible for the safe and proper operation of snowmaking equipment.
o Responsible for basic grooming of trails in a reasonable period of time.
o Involved in learning grooming patterns and contours, proper blade work and tiller operation.
o Involved in basic ramp maintenance.
MARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
o Coordinate and cooperate with other departments as necessary in the completion of the above essential duties.
o Provide information and answer questions about the resort to resort guests.
o Any other duties that may contribute to the cleanliness, orderliness and overall efficiency of the entire operation and all of the tasks contained therein.
